Are you passionate about quality, precision, and supporting operational excellence? We’re looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our dedicated technical team at the National Laboratory in Chipping Sodbury. In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in ensuring our materials meet industry standards and deliver the high performance our customers rely on.
Purpose of the Role
To examine and test asphalt, aggregates, concrete, and associated construction materials in line with European Standards and in full compliance with UKAS regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Health & Safety
Always comply with the company Health & Safety Policy and all relevant legislation. Follow all Safe Working Procedures as issued and updated. Actively promote and contribute to a positive health & safety culture across the laboratory. - Quality
Carry out laboratory testing in accordance with approved procedures and local work instructions. Suspend testing and report immediately to the Senior Laboratory Technician when deviations or issues are identified. Support continuous improvement in test accuracy, process efficiency, and overall service quality. - Production
Conduct testing efficiently to ensure results are delivered within agreed business timescales. Maintain a well-organised and productive working environment. - Customer Service
Build excellent working relationships with internal and external customers. Assist the Senior Laboratory Technician with resolving customer queries promptly and professionally.
