Assistant Quarry Manager to join our team at our busy Chipping Sodbury operation.

What You'll Be Doing

As Assistant Quarry Manager, you'll support the day-to-day management of the quarry and operational teams, helping ensure the site operates safely, efficiently and sustainably.

Key responsibilities include

  • Supporting the leadership and development of operational teams.
  • Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all company policies and legal requirements.
  • Helping deliver production targets while maximising efficiency and controlling costs.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Supporting environmental performance and sustainability objectives.
  • Working closely with technical, logistics and sales teams to ensure excellent customer service and product quality.
  • Assisting with resource planning, training and succession development.
  • Supporting capital projects and site improvement programmes.
  • Using operational data and management information to drive performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

About You

We're looking for a motivated individual who enjoys leading people, solving problems and making a real impact on site performance.

You'll ideally have

  • Experience within quarrying, aggregates, mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or a similar operational environment.
  • Supervisory or management experience with a passion for developing teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
