The Heidelberg Materials (HM) International Business Service Centre (BSC) provides administrative, transactional and accounting services to in-scope HM companies. The Process Reengineering Senior Manager will work to re-engineer end to end processes and systems, to support delivery of the Heidelberg Materials synergies and automation roadmap.
Subject Matter Expertise
- BSC expert on in-scope processes and systems, with detailed knowledge and conceptual understanding of relevant end-to-end processes to design the future processes.
- Provide process and technical leadership within projects to drive the move to standardisation, automation and near shore service provision.
- Understanding of relevant in country processes so that end to end touchpoint removal can be achieved.
End to End Process Redesign
- Working with Head of reengineering, Global Process Owners and teams to reengineer and design transformational end to end processes using Lean, Six Sigma and other CI methodologies to support systematic process redesign.
- Working alongside Global Process Owners and Digital teams to identify, assess and roadmap implementation plan for new technology (RPA, workflow tools, OCR, AI, process mining).
Stakeholder and Project Management
- BSC representative within HM communities (including HDigital) to enable collaborative working.
- Influence SteCo and multi country / discipline Project Teams to ensure that decisions are aligned to group standards and no new variants are created.
- Drive relevant project progress, to ensure that they deliver to time, and in line with projected benefit cases.
Leadership
- Act as a role model in delivery of BSC values, including collaboration, respect, honesty, and communication.
- Recruit and retain team members with the appropriate skills and competencies, with a clear and transparent process.
- Develop and coach team members to ensure that they achieve their maximum potential.
- Manage an agile team of resource with no key person dependency, able to adapt to peaks and changes in workload quickly and effectively.
- Responsible for re-engineering of process across multiple countries and systems.
- Line responsibility for a team of Transformation Analysts and Senior Transformation Analysts working across a wide range of projects.
Finance Competence
- Qualified Accountant + 5 Years CIMA / ACCA / ACA.
- Excellent financial and management accounting skills.
- Understanding / experience of working to Group deadlines as well as internal guidelines.
- Experience of working with non-financial management and explaining financial concepts advantageous.
- Comfortable dealing with senior management / directors.
- Strong understanding of risk and control processes.
- Ability to identify, prioritise and implement change.
- Good knowledge of working practices and chart of accounts.
- Experience of managing a team of accountants of varying degrees of experience / qualification.
- Strong work ethic to achieve tight deadlines.
- Pro-active approach to process improvements.
