Concrete Plant Supervisor
Lead Site Operations. Deliver Quality. Drive Safety.
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Concrete Plant Supervisor to take responsibility for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our concrete plant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plant operative or supervisor looking to take ownership of a busy production site and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to customers.
As the face of the site, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping, environmental compliance, and customer service while ensuring plant performance and production targets are achieved.
The Role
Reporting into the operations team, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the concrete plant, ensuring products are manufactured accurately, safely, and efficiently while maintaining excellent site standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the safe and efficient operation of the concrete batching plant.
Liaise with the Order Office, customers, drivers, and colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met.
Produce and batch concrete/mortar accurately in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
Operate the batching plant and Front-End Loader (FEL) to company standards.
Ensure sufficient raw materials are available to meet production demands.
Conduct daily visual stock checks and support monthly stock verification processes.
Inspect incoming materials and monitor stock quality.
Carry out routine plant inspections, maintenance, and defect reporting.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the plant, yard, buildings, equipment, and welfare facilities.
Ensure waste disposal, dust emissions, and water discharges are managed in line with environmental procedures.
Promote and enforce a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across the site.
Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors comply with site safety requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and plant utilisation.
Accurately record maintenance activities, inspections, and operational actions.
Report any issues that could affect safety, environmental compliance, product quality, or customer service.
Support training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management.
About You

Essential Requirements
Experience within concrete, aggregates, construction materials, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
Experience operating or supervising plant and production equipment.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed operational decisions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Customer-focused approach with a positive attitude.
Desirable
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
Front-End Loader (FEL) operating experience.
Knowledge of concrete batching processes.
Relevant plant operation or health and safety qualifications.
