We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Tytherington. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of electrical systems across site.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical duties, including installation, fault finding, breakdown repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • The role is critical in ensuring the ongoing serviceability, safety, and compliance of electrical systems, plant, and equipment.
  • Working in line with Heidelberg Materials’ policies and statutory regulations, you will help maintain a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors, while supporting operational efficiency across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across site equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Maintain and execute planned and reactive maintenance schedules in line with KPIs.
  • Ensure all work complies with the Electricity at Work Regulations (1989), Quarry Regulations (1999), and relevant safety standards.
  • Take ownership of electrical assets, including HV/LV substations and switch rooms.
  • Act as LV/HV Appointed Person when required.
  • Support and promote electrical safety programmes across site.
  • Escalate and address any safety concerns, stopping work where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records, certification, and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively within a small team to deliver safe, timely outcomes.
  • Participate in occasional weekend and night shifts as required.
