General Operative to support our production and distribution teams, helping to ensure the safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacture and delivery of our products.

The Role

As a General Operative, you will play a key role across both production and distribution operations.

Your responsibilities may include operating high‑speed bagging lines, supporting stock movements, loading vehicles for dispatch, and assisting with site operations to ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment in line with daily production plans.
  • Support the operation of high‑speed bagging lines to maximise productivity and quality.
  • Complete and maintain all required production documentation accurately.
  • Ensure products consistently meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Work to picking tickets and dispatch schedules with a high level of accuracy.
  • Load heavy goods vehicles safely and efficiently for customer deliveries.
  • Move stock and materials throughout the site as required.
  • Carry out routine housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Assist with the upkeep and basic maintenance of bagging lines and associated equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide cover for Forklift Truck and Shovel Driver roles following successful training.
  • Follow all company Health & Safety procedures, safe systems of work, and risk assessments at all times.
