Purpose of the role

The role involves operating any mobile and static plant, as directed by Site Management, ensuring safe and proper operation with the necessary certifications. It also includes undertaking general housekeeping works as required by MQP and other duties within the scope of the main processing plant in accordance with Site Management recommendations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain mobile and static plant in good condition, including refueling, greasing, and cleaning, following manufacturer and MQP recommendations.
  • Operate all plant as economically as possible.
  • Complete daily inspection sheets for mobile plant conditions.
  • Report problems or defects of mobile plant to the Load & Haul management team.
  • Complete near miss reports as required by Site Management.

Education/Qualifications

  • Minimum of Grade 4+ equivalent to a C at GCSE in Maths and English.
  • Good general education, with understanding and ability to carry out health and safety regulations and Quarry Regulations.
  • Relevant competency cards in loading shovel, ADT, and excavator (required).
  • Experience in a similar role (desired).
