As a General Operative, you will support both production operations and loading/distribution activities, ensuring our products are produced, handled, and dispatched to the highest possible standards. You will be responsible for:
- Production Activities
- Operating high-speed bagging lines.
- Supporting production lines, including forklift tasks (once trained).
- Ensuring high-quality, retail-ready output.
- Completing all in-process documentation accurately.
- Following the daily production plan with precision.
- Moving stock safely and efficiently.
- Loading heavy goods vehicles ready for dispatch.
- Working accurately from picking tickets.
- Providing cover for trained forklift or shovel drivers after completing training.
- Conducting regular bagging line checks and ensuring machinery runs efficiently.
- Maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards at all times.
Key Accountabilities:
- Work accurately to daily production schedules.
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed and up to date.
- Maintain consistent product quality.
- Optimise bagging line performance and address basic maintenance needs.
- Contribute positively to a safe, tidy, and high-performing working environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current Counterbalance Forklift Certificate (Training can be provided if required.)
- Desirable: Experience in a production, warehouse, or distribution environment.
