Cost & Invoice Clerk – Contracting Team (Castle Donington)

Salary: £23,000–£25,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

Location: Castle Donington

Working Hours: 37.5 per week

We are looking for a highly organised and detail‑focused Cost & Invoice Clerk to join our Contracting team in Castle Donington. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, deadlines, and operational teams to ensure accurate costing and smooth financial processes.

Purpose of the Role

To ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly costing information is accurately entered into the system, and that invoices are processed correctly and on time. This role plays a key part in supporting the production of monthly management accounts in line with the accounting timetable.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collate weekly timesheets and input into payroll systems in accordance with company set weekly deadlines.
  • Receive purchase invoices and register on purchase ledger system to enable matching to purchase orders, complete processes required to provide information for payment to Head Office accounts payment team.
  • Allocate costs of materials and plant to individual contracts from daily Foremans’ sheets.
  • Collate information from daily and weekly site sheets and create necessary reports to assist in costing process.
  • Calculate month end accruals for material and plant costs not invoiced.
  • Prepare and reconcile daily tonnage delivery reports for materials, produce and distribute daily tonnage reporting diary.
