Reporting to: Quality Assurance Manager
Join us and play a key role in a major transformation
We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Engineer to support the successful delivery of our UK S/4HANA transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a high-impact project, ensuring quality, accuracy, and seamless testing across critical business systems. Working closely with business stakeholders, UK Digital teams, and the wider project team, you’ll take ownership of test coordination, defect management, and UAT execution—helping to drive a high standard of delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- Test Preparation & Management
- Support the QA Manager in planning and preparing UAT test cycles
- Import, organise and maintain test scripts within Jira/Xray
- Review test scenarios to ensure quality, completeness, and traceability
- Ensure test data requirements are clearly defined ahead of execution
- Test Execution Coordination
- Coordinate test cycles with business key users
- Act as the go-to contact for test execution support and queries
- Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of test activities
- Facilitate clear communication between business, IT, and QA teams
- Defect Management & Retesting
- Log, triage and manage defects effectively
- Link failed test cases with defects to enable efficient retesting
- Ensure defects are clearly documented with supporting evidence
- Track defects through to resolution and coordinate retesting
- Quality Assurance Support
- Validate fixes and ensure they meet expected outcomes
- Maintain dashboards and provide clear status updates to stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to QA processes and governance standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Test Analyst in project or transformation environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira/Xray (test management, execution tracking, dashboards)
- Solid understanding of SIT and UAT test cycles
- Experience with defect lifecycle management
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with SAP ECC to S/4HANA or ERP transformation programmes
- Exposure to integration and end-to-end testing
- Familiarity with formal test governance frameworks
- ISTQB Foundation (or equivalent)
