What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Handling verbal and written enquiries efficiently, effectively, politely, and accurately.
  • Management of customer card payments (cash sales) & setting up customer accounts.
  • Provide support to the transport planner, commercial team & the accounts department.
  • Processing of invoices, waste transfer notes & goods received notes.
  • Liaise with the commercial, transport & operational staff to ensure the most efficient and effective completion of administration tasks, query resolution & purchase order queries within given timeframes.
  • Efficiently handle haulier enquiries to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Accurately process all admin within given deadlines.
  • Ensure timely production of relevant reports as required by management.
  • Maintain good working relationships with various teams within HMUK and external drivers.
  • Adherence to company policy & procedures.
What You Bring:
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry, document preparation, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise confidently with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the initiative to identify and resolve administrative issues before they escalate.
  • Previous experience in a commercial, administrative, or sales support role (ideally 1–3 years) is highly desirable.
