Shape the Future of Construction with Precision and Purpose
As a Quality Control Technician (QCT), you’ll be at the heart of our operations, responsible for:
- Testing & Quality Control: Conduct field and lab tests on concrete and aggregates (slump, compressive strength, etc.), ensure compliance with ASTM, BS EN, and local standards, analyse data and produce detailed reports.
- Material Inspection: Inspect raw materials (cement, sand, limestone, admixtures), monitor deliveries and verify against specifications.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards, actively report near misses and ensure safe working practices.
- Project Coordination: Conduct site visits and sample collection, uphold the EDF Code of Conduct for Sizewell C.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
- Liaise with contractors and internal teams to meet customer expectations.
- Report any defects or issues affecting product quality or safety.
- Maintain site cleanliness, security, and professional standards.
- Support investigations into product issues and site practices.
- Challenge unsafe or non-compliant behaviours.
- Transport test specimens as required.
What You’ll Need:
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
- Level 1 Award Training.
- CSCS certification for construction sites.
- Triple Bar Nuclear New Build qualification.
- NVQ qualification in a relevant field.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
