We're looking for a hands‑on, proactive, and safety-driven Batching Plant Operative to join our team.

You'll play a vital role in producing high-quality concrete and mortar, maintaining an excellent site environment, and delivering great customer service.

Currently operating as a one-person site, this role is perfect for someone confident working independently, organised, and ready to take pride in keeping the plant running efficiently and safely.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Production & Customer Service
    Work closely with the Order Office, plant team, and customers to ensure all concrete/mortar is produced to exact requirements.

Deliver excellent service and maintain strong communication across the site.

  • Plant Operation & Maintenance
    Operate the batching plant and Front-End Loader (FEL) safely and effectively.

Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and cleaning of all plant mechanisms, buildings, equipment, and facilities.

Ensure stock levels are maintained through daily visual checks and weekly stock assessments.

  • Safety & Compliance
    Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times.

Ensure all staff, contractors, and visitors comply with site safety rules.

Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies, including proper waste, water, and dust management.

Report any defects, hazards, or issues that may impact safety, quality, or operational performance.

  • Environmental & Administrative Responsibilities
    Comply with all environmental procedures and company policies.

Support fraud prevention and adhere to Group and Regional administrative guidelines.

Keep knowledge and training up to date to ensure maximum effectiveness.

  • General Site Responsibilities
    Ensure the site makes a strong first impression through excellent presentation.

Perform any additional duties required by management as part of the smooth running of the operation.
