We're looking for a proactive Relief Plant Supervisor to support the efficient running of our concrete plants. In this role, you’ll be the go‐to person ensuring production, quality and safety standards are consistently met—while also stepping in to provide essential cover during holidays and periods of absence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operational Excellence
- Operating computer-based systems for batching and dispatching concrete
- Ensuring concrete and mortar production meets customer requirements and company quality standards
- Maintaining stock levels and ensuring all materials meet specification
- Accurately batching concrete/mortar following operational procedures
- Site Safety & Compliance
- Upholding full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental Legislation, and company policies
- Monitoring waste disposal, water discharge and dust emissions
- Ensuring all employees, contractors and visitors follow safety procedures
- Reporting defects, incidents or anything impacting safety, environment, product quality or service
- Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections
- Ensuring plant buildings, equipment and surrounding areas are clean, tidy and well‐presented
- Supervising contractors and hauliers on site
- Securing the site and maintaining building security at all times
- Customer Service
- Handling customer enquiries politely and professionally—by phone and face‐to‐face
- Representing the company with a positive and professional image
- Continuous Improvement
- Reviewing work methods and plant utilisation for efficiency
- Seeking guidance on operational matters outside role authority
- Carrying out additional duties as required
