We are seeking a Quality Control Technician, based in the Bristol / Avonmouth area to cover site sampling and testing of concrete, asphalt and aggregate materials.
Purpose of the Role
To carry out sampling and on-site testing of asphalt, aggregates, concrete, and associated construction materials in line with European Standards and in full compliance with UKAS regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Health & Safety
- Always comply with the company Health & Safety Policy and all relevant legislation.
- Follow all Safe Working Procedures as issued and updated.
- Actively promote and contribute to a positive health & safety culture across the laboratory.
- Quality
- Carry out site testing in accordance with approved procedures and local work instructions.
- Suspend testing and report immediately to the Senior Laboratory Technician when deviations or issues are identified.
- Support continuous improvement in product accuracy, process efficiency, and overall service quality.
- Production
- Conduct testing efficiently to ensure results are delivered within agreed business timescales.
- Maintain a well-organised and productive working environment.
- Customer Service
- Build excellent working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Assist the Senior Technician with resolving customer queries promptly and professionally.
