We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Foreperson to lead our Aggregate operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production, compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, and maintaining high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Policy, Local Managers’ Rules, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
- Lead and motivate a team, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of labour, plant, and materials.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain the concrete plant to meet production and quality standards.
- Plan daily production based on customer requirements and plant capacity.
- Manage start-up and shut-down procedures and optimise throughput.
- Conduct thorough inspections and monitoring of plant equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs within competence and manufacturer guidelines.
- Operate mobile plant equipment (Front-End Loaders, dumpers) for loading and material movement.
- Refuel and maintain mobile plant (greasing, cleaning) as per Heidelberg Materials standards.
- Complete daily inspection sheets and report defects promptly.
- Submit near-miss reports and maintain accurate records.
- Liaise with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Experience in aggregate operations or similar environment.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to operate and maintain static and mobile plant equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
