We are looking for an experienced Territory Sales Manager to lead and grow a portfolio of customer accounts across a defined geographical region. This is a high-impact role where you will take ownership of your territory, implement a focused sales strategy, and deliver sustainable growth in market share, revenue, and profitability.
As Territory Sales Manager, you will work closely with both existing and new customers, using a blend of face-to-face engagement and digital channels to strengthen relationships, uncover opportunities, and deliver value-added solutions.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and executing a territory sales strategy aligned to our wider Market Strategy Plan. By combining strong commercial insight with excellent customer engagement, you will increase share of wallet, improve customer experience, and deliver profitable growth.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Plan and maintain structured call cycles for customers and prospects, using a mix of in-person and digital engagement, including video calls
- Set and manage call cycle objectives through Customer Management Plans (CMPs)
- Support the preparation of quotes and submission of tenders
- Contribute to annual sales budgets and territory forecasts
- Resolve customer queries within defined timeframes and performance metrics
- Grow revenue through effective upselling and cross-selling at agreed profitability levels
- Build and maintain long-term commercial relationships supported by clear customer strategies
- Ensure alignment between sales, operations, and logistics to deliver products and services on time
- Communicate market and customer insights to support wider business decision-making
- Forecast, track, and report on customer account performance metrics
- Manage customer-related projects, balancing customer objectives with business goals
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in line with regional and product strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent service and customer experience
- Maintain accurate customer records across CRM, SAP, and sales planning tools
- Proactively use market data, including ABI, to identify profitable sales opportunities
- Review Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and work collaboratively to improve performance and customer satisfaction
About You
- Proven experience in territory or account-based sales
- Strong commercial awareness and relationship management skills
- Confident using digital tools and data to drive sales performance
- Highly organised, customer-focused, and results-driven
- Able to work collaboratively across teams while managing multiple accounts
Education / Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Management, or Engineering preferred.
