We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional Concrete Field Tester to join our team at our high output site to service the Waterloo Corner precast segment project. The principal areas of responsibility will be ensuring full compliance with Australian Standards and NATA requirements for sampling and testing of concrete mixes and entering test results into multi-faceted systems.
Shift Pattern:
- 12-hour shifts
- Day Shift & Night Shift
- 7/3 and 7/4 rotating day and night shifts
About the Role:
- Sampling and testing fresh concrete as per Australian standards on construction sites.
- Collecting concrete test samples (concrete in moulds, approx. 5kg) from construction sites - typically from 3 - 5 sites a day.
- Assisting Lab technicians and carrying out compression and other strength tests on cured concrete specimens in our Skygate/Southport Laboratory.
- Working safely and accurately.
- Reporting to Laboratory Supervisor.
Background and Experience required:
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Previous qualification in Laboratory Techniques/signatory will be highly regarded.
- Perform tests in accordance with Australian Standards.
- Physically fit (Able to carry 15 litres of concrete for each test. Trollies can be provided).
- Pass a pre-employment medical which includes drug/alcohol testing.
