About the role

We are looking for a proactive and commercially driven Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to lead and grow a portfolio of Aggregates customers across a defined geographical territory, based out of Cheddar. The TSM will be responsible for delivering sustainable growth by implementing a territory sales strategy focused on increasing market share (volume), revenue, and RCO profitability. You will build strong, long‑term customer relationships while promoting value‑added products and services across the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts
  • Plan, manage, and deliver effective call cycles for customers and prospects, using both face‑to‑face and digital channels (including video calls)
  • Set and execute clear call objectives through Customer Management Plans (CMPs)
  • Assist in the preparation of quotes and tenders
  • Contribute to the annual sales budget and forecasting process for the territory
  • Ensure customer queries are resolved within agreed timeframes, aligned to Heidelberg Materials metrics (less than 3% of revenue in query at any time)
  • Grow share of wallet through effective upselling and cross‑selling, while maintaining required profitability
  • Develop and maintain long‑term commercial relationships, aligned to the Market Strategy Plan (MSP)
  • Enable customers to receive products and services on time by ensuring strong alignment between sales, operations, and logistics
  • Communicate market intelligence, customer needs, and insights back into the wider business
  • Forecast and track customer account performance metrics
  • Manage projects within customer relationships, balancing customer and company objectives
  • Identify and develop opportunities with both existing and new customers, aligned to regional and product strategies
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to deliver a consistent and high‑quality customer experience
  • Manage multiple customer accounts concurrently, including prospects and new customers
