Purpose of the role
To support the efficient and safe operation of a construction and waste aggregate recycling depot by sorting, processing, and managing waste materials effectively to the operation. The role involves operating various mobile plant machinery and processing equipment to ensure compliance with environmental standards and site productivity targets. To undertake general maintenance works as required by Heidelberg Materials across the site. To undertake other duties within their scope on the plant in accordance with Site Management recommendations.
Key accountabilities
To effectively operate, inspect, and maintain all site plant to ensure the production of materials that meet the company\’s quality standards including not limited to re-fueling, greasing, cleaning in accordance with the manufacturers and Heidelberg materials recommendations.
Sort and segregating waste materials for correct recycling operations on site, carrying out load and quality inspections, including communicating with weighbridge.
To ensure all plant is operated as economically as possible.
To complete daily inspection sheets of the conditions of materials, stockpiles and plant and conduct preventative maintenance.
To report problems or defects of plant to the site management.
To complete near miss, take one reports as required by Site Management and adhere to all site health, safety and environmental policies.
To complete adhoc maintenance tasks or duties onsite.
