This is your chance to step into a key role in the construction materials industry with full support and training. We\’re looking for a Plant Supervisor to join our team at Heidelberg Materials in Whatley. We will teach you everything you need to know about concrete production and plant operations.
Location: Tiverton, Plymouth or Taunton
Hours: 45 per week
What You\’ll Be Doing:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the concrete plant
- Using computer systems to batch and dispatch concrete
- Speaking with customers and coordinating deliveries
- Supervising contractors and hauliers on-site
- Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental standards
- Keeping the site clean, safe, and well-presented
- Operating the batching plant to company standards and maintaining site presentation
- Accurately batching concrete/mortar according to procedures
- Ensuring the plant is stocked with approved materials
- Visually checking stocks weekly and verifying monthly
- Performing routine maintenance and recording actions
