Purpose of the role
To meet all customer and business requirements in the most cost-effective, professional, and timely manner whilst achieving a high level of customer service. To provide customers with a quality service for all enquiries, orders, deliveries, and associated administration in the most cost-effective way for Hanson Quarry Products. To support the internal distribution team by monitoring work, processing diversions/cancellations, and resolving issues.
Key accountabilities
- Become the point of contact for all MRP enquiries (including issues raised via DOMs, Plant supervisors, and drivers).
- Maintain all MRP data (including concrete plant inbound hours, source changes, safety stocks, etc.).
- Bridge communication between the Cement Planning team and the Concrete Readymix business line.
- Monitor the ZMARC report for overstocking or safety stock breaches.
- Identify opportunities for diversions to optimize stock management.
- Collaborate with pre-planners and allocators to prioritize loads correctly.
- Daily liaison with the allocations controller to address planning issues and suggest corrective actions.
- Monitor vehicles unable to unload full loads and ensure return amounts are processed correctly.
- Ensure handwritten tickets are processed through SAP before dispatching another order.
- Keep the ZMNRL report updated and accurate.
- Raise and process purchase orders for internal deliveries as needed.
- Perform regression testing when necessary.
Order Management
- Monitor ZMARC for orders stuck in transit and investigate anomalies.
- Process source changes promptly for accurate planning.
- Create, modify, or delete orders as required.
- Monitor email notifications for overstocking alerts.
Delivery Management
- Assist in managing late deliveries and safety stock breaches.
- Record exceptions daily, including reasons for part loads, returns, and breaches.
- Monitor SyncroTess for exceptional circumstances and resolve related issues.
- Address issues with incorrectly completed or canceled deliveries.
- Highlight early orders to pre-planners to ensure delivery windows.
- Coordinate diversions with allocators to adapt to demand changes.
General
- Coordinate with sales and operational staff across various departments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Prevent invoice and haulier queries through accurate admin processing.
- Enhance knowledge across business lines.
- Work with area teams and external departments to maintain high customer service levels.
- Monitor distribution operations and vehicle utilization.
- Resolve queries with weighbridges and plant supervisors promptly.
- Maintain good relationships with drivers and service providers.
- Handle customer complaints effectively, ensuring preventative measures.

- Understand and apply allocator planning processes and previous planning experience.
- Operate SyncroTess and SAP proficiently.
