Drive your career forward with us. We\’re looking for a proactive Forklift Driver – General Operative to join our busy production and distribution team. Hours: 40 hours
What you\’ll be doing
- Operating high-speed bagging lines to produce high-quality, retail-ready products.
- Providing forklift support to keep production lines running efficiently.
- Managing stock movements and loading heavy goods vehicles for despatch.
- Supporting shovel driver duties (following training) and stepping in where needed.
- Completing all required documentation accurately and on time.
- Following daily production plans and supply picking tickets.
- Maintaining and optimising machinery to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
Key accountabilities
- Accurately working to a supplied daily production plan.
- Ensure that all in process documentation is completed / up-to-date.
- Maintaining a consistent, high quality product, suitable for the retail market.
- Accurately working to a supply picking ticket.
- Ensuring the highest standards of Health & Safety are maintained at all times.
- To ensure that the bagging lines are maintained on a regular basis.
- Optimise bagging line efficiencies.
Job requirements
- Operate bagging lines in a safe and controlled manner.
- Driving Forklift Trucks (When Trained)
- Ability top work as part of a team.
- Ability to be flexible when required.
- Ability to work within the health & safety guideline\’s of the company.
Education/Qualification
Hold a current fork lift certificate (counterbalance certificate) (training can be provided)
