Key accountabilities

  • Ensure vehicle and equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and accurate record-keeping as per legislation and company procedures.
  • Comply with company personnel and administration policies.
  • Follow all Health and Safety, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport regulations.
  • Manage waste disposal, water discharges, and dust emissions according to Environmental procedures.
  • Perform deliveries efficiently, cost-effectively, and courteously.
  • Punctually attend to the operating unit to meet company requirements.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Operate specialized vehicles (walking floor/rolling floor/tipper/concrete mixer) as required.
  • Be flexible regarding location and work away/overnight as per customer demand, supporting high volumes in other areas.
  • Willing to undergo further training, including CRB/Scottish Disclosure checks.
  • Maintain high safety standards and strictly follow site rules.

Education/Qualifications

  • GCSE grade 4+ or equivalent to a C in Maths and English.
  • Full knowledge of Road Transport Law, Working Time Directive, and relevant legislation.
  • Current DCPC card is essential.
  • Valid EPIC/MPQC card.
  • Ability to identify and report issues.
  • Motivated, physically fit, and able to work independently.
  • Flexible working hours, including periods away from base (nights out).
