Key accountabilities
- Ensure vehicle and equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and accurate record-keeping as per legislation and company procedures.
- Comply with company personnel and administration policies.
- Follow all Health and Safety, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport regulations.
- Manage waste disposal, water discharges, and dust emissions according to Environmental procedures.
- Perform deliveries efficiently, cost-effectively, and courteously.
- Punctually attend to the operating unit to meet company requirements.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Operate specialized vehicles (walking floor/rolling floor/tipper/concrete mixer) as required.
- Be flexible regarding location and work away/overnight as per customer demand, supporting high volumes in other areas.
- Willing to undergo further training, including CRB/Scottish Disclosure checks.
- Maintain high safety standards and strictly follow site rules.
Education/Qualifications
- GCSE grade 4+ or equivalent to a C in Maths and English.
- Full knowledge of Road Transport Law, Working Time Directive, and relevant legislation.
- Current DCPC card is essential.
- Valid EPIC/MPQC card.
- Ability to identify and report issues.
- Motivated, physically fit, and able to work independently.
- Flexible working hours, including periods away from base (nights out).
