Value Stream: Video & Graphics
About the Role
I'm looking for a Full Stack SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our QA team within the Video & Graphics Value Stream. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building automation frameworks, improving testing practices, and working closely with engineers to deliver high-quality software. You'll help drive quality across products that support sports broadcast graphics, video processing, cloud services, and data delivery platforms. Working with developers, product teams, and fellow QA engineers, you'll play an important role in improving reliability, scalability, and confidence in our software.
We're looking for strong experience in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, alongside UI automation, API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS. Experience with Playwright is preferred, although experience with other modern automation frameworks is also welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Automation Frameworks: Build scalable, maintainable automation frameworks across frontend, backend, desktop, API, and data-driven systems. Establish testing patterns and best practices that support long-term maintainability.
- UI and End-to-End Automation: Develop and maintain automated UI and end-to-end test suites using Playwright (preferred) or Cypress. Work closely with developers to establish effective critical-path test coverage.
- API and Backend Testing: Design and implement automated tests for APIs, backend services, and cloud-based applications. Validate functionality, reliability, and performance across multiple systems.
- Integrate Testing into CI/CD Pipelines: Embed automated testing into build and deployment workflows. Support efficient and reliable software delivery through continuous testing.
- Champion Quality: Help improve testing approaches, identify gaps, and promote quality-focused engineering practices. Support teams in adopting scalable and effective testing strategies.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to align testing approaches with technical and business objectives.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge through code reviews, framework discussions, and testing best practices.
- Exploratory Testing: Perform targeted manual and exploratory testing where automation alone is not sufficient to uncover complex defects or edge cases.

Essential:
- Strong experience building automation frameworks using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with Playwright or Cypress for UI and end-to-end testing
- Experience testing REST APIs and backend services
- Strong understanding of test design principles and maintainable automation patterns

- Experience working with AWS cloud services
- Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working within agile software development teams
Desirable:
- Experience testing video processing or streaming applications
- Experience working with cloud-native or distributed systems
- Exposure to computer vision, machine learning, or data-driven products
- Knowledge of C++ and an interest in understanding backend systems
- Experience testing desktop applications
