Location: Hybrid working – minimum 2 days per week in the office

Office locations: Basingstoke, London or Bristol

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £42,000 - £66,000

About the Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing areas within Sony Sports Technology. Our team combines Hawk-Eye's world-leading tracking technology with KinaTrax's markerless motion capture systems to provide cutting-edge athlete performance insights across elite sport.

You'll be joining a collaborative team of around 20 people that's expected to grow to approximately 25 over the coming year. Unlike many delivery roles that focus on a single product or sport, you'll support initiatives across Major League Baseball, the NFL, NBA, NHL, cricket, tennis and golf.

About the Role

We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing people together, solving problems and helping technical teams deliver their best work. As a Delivery Manager, you'll work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, Solution Owners and software engineers to coordinate the delivery of technical initiatives across our biomechanics products.

You'll help keep projects moving by managing priorities, coordinating dependencies, identifying risks early and ensuring teams have the information they need to deliver successfully. This isn't a traditional project management role. Priorities can change quickly as new opportunities emerge across multiple sports, so we're looking for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where no two weeks are quite the same.

What You'll Work On

  • Supporting delivery across multiple biomechanics products and sports initiatives.
  • Coordinating work across engineering, product and operational teams.
  • Managing delivery roadmaps, milestones and project planning activities.
  • Supporting Agile ceremonies, sprint planning and delivery processes.
  • Tracking project progress and ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of delivery.
  • Identifying risks, dependencies and blockers before they impact delivery.
  • Working closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads and Solution Owners to coordinate priorities.
  • Helping improve delivery processes and ways of working across the Biomechanics Value Stream.
  • Building strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders across Sony Sports Technology.

What Success Looks Like

Your first few months will focus on learning the products, understanding how our teams work and building strong relationships across the business. As your confidence grows, you'll begin taking ownership of delivery activities, supporting roadmap planning, identifying delivery risks and helping improve the way the team collaborates.

Success in this role isn't about changing everything on day one. It's about learning quickly, building trust and becoming someone the team relies on to help deliver complex technical projects successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the successful delivery of initiatives across the Biomechanics Value Stream.
  • Maintain delivery roadmaps, milestones and project timelines across multiple workstreams.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and backlog refinement.
  • Track project dependencies, risks and blockers, ensuring they are managed proactively.
  • Support Product Managers and Engineering Leads with delivery planning and prioritisation.
  • Monitor delivery health and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Escalate delivery risks with clear recommendations and proposed mitigation plans.
  • Help improve Agile delivery practices, team collaboration and operational efficiency.
  • Support cross-functional communication between engineering, product, operations and business teams.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, transparency and accountability.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience supporting software, technical or product delivery within a technology environment.
  • An understanding of Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence or similar collaboration and planning tools.
  • Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working alongside engineering or technical teams.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • A genuine interest in technology and delivering high-quality products.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to sports technology or biomechanics.
  • Experience working across multiple technical teams.
  • An understanding of software development lifecycles.
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Sports Science, Biomechanics, Project Management or a related discipline is preferred, but not essential.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to join one of the most exciting growth areas within Sony Sports Technology. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, product managers and delivery specialists on technology that's helping redefine athlete performance analysis across professional sport. As the Biomechanics Value Stream continues to expand, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience across multiple sports, contribute to high-profile programmes and develop your career within a growing global team.

Reward, Benefits & Wellness

At Sony Sports Technology, we believe our people are our greatest strength. Alongside the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that's shaping the future of sport, you'll have access to a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing, development and work-life balance.

  • 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
  • Enhanced pension scheme with 5% employer matching
  • Hybrid working model
  • Complimentary Unmind wellbeing app
  • Onsite gym (Basingstoke)
  • Sony Group employee discounts
  • Career development opportunities across Sony Sports Technology
