This is one of the most important leadership roles within Hawk-Eye Football. The Delivery Director, Football is responsible for building a world-class delivery organisation capable of executing strategic priorities, customer programmes and technology deployments across the global football business.

The role will establish and lead the Football PMO while acting as the Managing Director’s strategic delivery lead, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into successful execution. The Director, Football PMO will anticipate issues, solve complex operational problems and ensure that the organisation consistently delivers to world class standards.

Key activities that the role will focus on:

  • Lead strategic cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the Managing Director, taking ownership from concept through execution and ensuring delivery against agreed business outcomes.
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing delivery organisation through coaching, mentoring and clear accountability.
  • Own the prioritisation, governance and health of the Football delivery portfolio.
  • Continuously improve delivery governance, tools, methodologies and ways of working to increase organisational effectiveness.
  • Deliver customer implementations, technology deployments and strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful delivery of Football's strategic initiatives, customer projects and technology programmes.
  • Maintain executive ownership of major and business-critical programmes.
  • Establish effective delivery governance, reporting, accountability and portfolio management across Football.
  • Own delivery planning and pipeline management, ensuring leadership has clear visibility of progress, risks and priorities.
  • Lead, coach and develop Project Managers, Programme Managers and Technology Delivery Managers, building a high-performing delivery function.
  • Own the delivery budget and contribute to the successful commercial delivery of new projects.
  • Partner with Commercial during customer discovery, due diligence and bid activities to ensure deliverable, well-planned solutions.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations and Global PMO to ensure new technologies are successfully developed, tested, deployed and transitioned into live operation.
  • Represent Delivery within Product Steering, ensuring product roadmaps remain aligned to customer and operational priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes, governance, tools and organisational effectiveness.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

Essential:

  • Significant leadership experience within sports technology, enterprise technology or similarly complex operational environments.
  • Proven track record delivering complex technical programmes at scale.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • First-class problem-solving ability, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making.
  • Highly adaptable, proactive and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues, prioritise effectively and drive outcomes.
  • Experience leading, developing and motivating high-performing delivery teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience within sports data, officiating technology or large-scale technology services.
  • Broad understanding of end-to-end technology delivery, from product development through operational deployment.
  • Knowledge of cross-functional business operations including Product, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Operations and PMO.
