Hegarty, one of the region’s leading law firms, are recruiting a Residential Property Conveyancing fee earner. We are looking for an experienced fee earner to continue the exceptional service we offer our clients. The successful candidate will be supported by an experienced assistant, have access to our network of returning clients and referrers and be based in our office in Stamford.
Key Responsibilities
- To deal with all residential conveyancing matters to include residential sales, residential purchases, re‑mortgage, matrimonial transfers of equity, Leasehold & Freehold properties.
- Undertake risk assessment throughout the matter.
- Conduct due diligence and source of funds investigations in line with the firm’s policies and procedures.
- Checking and reporting on title to clients.
- Dealing with enquiries on purchases – both raising these and dealing with replies from sellers solicitors.
- Identifying potential risks and reporting adequately to clients, lender and agents where appropriate.
- Monitoring and supervising work carried out by members of your team.
- Identifying and complying with lender requirements and special conditions both pre and post completion.
- Identifying and obtaining all necessary documentation and requirements to make sure the property is correctly registered as quickly as possible following completion.
- Signing files off for exchange and completion confirming all necessary steps have been taken to ensure compliance with CQS protocol, lender requirements and client instructions.
- Ensuring all necessary signed documentation is held prior to completion.
- Ensuring bills and completion statements are correct and appropriately received by accounts.
Person Specification
- Demonstrated knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent client care skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised and able to work under pressure to specific deadlines.
