Hegarty, one of the region's leading law firms, are recruiting a full time Residential Property Case Handler to join our busy Residential Property department in Market Deeping.
In this role you'll be working alongside one of our experienced Licensed Conveyancers providing exceptional service to our clients as we support them through the sale, purchase, re-mortgage and matrimonial transfers of equity of their home.
You'll help manage a busy caseload working with a wide range of clients, private developers and investor purchasers.
You will be joining a modern and dynamic team that fully supports each and every individual and ensures that everyone has a great work life balance.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake conflict checks, provide quotes, open and close files, set up entities, carry out correct ID checks and verification of documents
- Request and look through initial source of funds documentation - identifying any additional requirements
- Draft and issue Contracts on sale transactions
- Carry out searches - being able to report to clients on the contents of the searches
- Reporting to clients on the contents of mortgage offers received
- Request redemption statements
- Complete Stamp Duty Land Tax returns forms
- Deal with land Registry requisitions
- Deal with enquiries raised by buyer's Solicitor - either replying and/or sending on to client with instructions on what they need to reply to
- Sending documents to clients for signature
- Undertake post exchange work:
- Post exchange letters
- Land Registry searches
- Set up files for completion
- Produce invoices and completion statements
- Day to day communication with clients, estate agents and solicitors regarding progress on the files
- Compliance with CQS Accreditation and Anti-Money Laundering Regulations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships.
- Great attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office products.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure that challenging deadlines are met.
- Maintains a positive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
- Ability to work within the discipline of office targets, budgets and billing requirements.
- A minimum of two years experience in residential conveyancing is essential.
- A competitive salary in line with your previous experience
- 25 days holiday year in addition to Bank Holidays, rising to 27 days are 5 years service
