We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Multi Site Maintenance Assistant working across our two Edinburgh properties. Keeping our hotels running smoothly is vital to our guest's experience – as Maintenance Assistant you’ll keep everything looking sharp and running like clockwork. From simple repairs to forward-thinking for the next day.
With naturally high standards to support our own, you’ll approach every task with devotion and pride. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Repairing or replacing items around the hotel and refurbishing items in guest rooms.
- Organising supplies and ensuring equipment is ready for the next day.
- Living up to high safety standards – following guidelines and reporting any incidents, dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment to your supervisor.
- Taking responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel, like the car park.
- Keeping an eye out for improvements – following the preventative maintenance calendar and ensuring everything is working efficiently at all times.
- Being a friendly face and a helping hand to our guests.
- Keeping your supervisor or duty manager informed about any low-running supplies.
- Looking smart and approachable in your uniform.
- Being ready to take on extra duties as needed by the team.
What we need from you:
- Experience – previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- A high school diploma or related vocational training.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting systems.
- A working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Fitness – you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot.
- Compliance with health and safety laws.
- Fluent English speaking skills.
