The Role of Site Engineer:

The role includes assisting and implementing the organisation of projects in the field as well as the office, providing input as directed into the planning aspects of the project. The Site Engineer is expected to ensure that all technical and site work is carried out to a high standard, safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for field-based logistics including ensuring that the project specification is followed, correct equipment is used and maintained on site, and correct health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Execution of ground investigations.
  • Contract management on site including delivery of projects on time and maximising profits from each contract.
  • Maintain an effective line of communication between site and the office.
  • Work with Project Managers and Line Managers to develop personal objectives.

The Right Site Engineer:

  • 2 years experience within the field
  • BSc in Earth Sciences or related degree
  • SMSTS
  • Full UK driving license
