The Role of Service Delivery Manager
- Field Engineer Support – Ensure engineers have the necessary resources, tools, and information to carry out maintenance and project work efficiently.
- Maintenance Coordination – Oversee planned maintenance schedules for CHP units, ground source heat pumps, and air source heat pumps, ensuring timely servicing and system reliability.
- Breakdown Management – Act as the first point of contact for urgent repairs, coordinating rapid response efforts and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Parts Procurement – Source and manage the inventory of essential components, working with suppliers to secure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
- Client Liaison – Communicate with clients to schedule maintenance, provide updates on ongoing work, and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Project Support – Assist in the planning and execution of low-carbon energy projects, ensuring smooth operations from design to implementation.
- Operational Efficiency – Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize service quality.
The Right Service Delivery Manager
- Experience in operations support, engineering coordination, or maintenance planning, ideally within the energy, engineering, or maintenance sectors.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in sourcing and procurement of technical parts and equipment.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, particularly when handling breakdowns and urgent maintenance issues.
- Knowledge of technical equipment servicing, ideally including low-carbon energy systems, CHP, ground source heat pumps, and air source heat pumps, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in ERP or maintenance management systems is a plus.
