What will the Client Manager role involve?

  • Managing a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited company clients.
  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting statutory accounts and tax returns.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing your own team of accountancy professionals.
  • Reviewing work completed by team members and providing technical guidance and feedback.
  • Ensuring client deadlines and service level agreements are consistently achieved.
  • Supporting clients with tax planning and providing commercially focused advice.
  • Advising clients on advisory areas including cashflow, budgeting and business performance.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.

Suitable Candidate for the Client Manager vacancy:

  • ACCA, ACA, FMAAT or equivalent fully qualified accountant or tax advisor who holds a current professional body membership.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns for a varied client portfolio.
  • Sound technical knowledge across accounts preparation, taxation and compliance.
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering advisory services.
  • Previous leadership, mentoring or team supervision experience would be advantageous.
  • Practical experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Dext or similar.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to present complex information in a clear and practical manner.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.
