We're looking for a Fire Safety Team Leader to support the delivery of a high-quality fire safety compliance service across our housing portfolio. In this role you will lead a team of technicians and engineers, ensuring statutory fire safety requirements are met, managing risk assessment programmes, and overseeing inspections, contractors, and improvement projects. This is a key role where you'll drive performance, maintain compliance, and contribute to creating safe homes and communities.
Requirements:
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance is essential.
Specifically, in the role you will:
- Team Management: Manage a team of four Fire Safety Technicians and four Fire Safety Electrical Engineers, ensuring effective management with outputs and performance targets met.
- Fire Risk Assessment: Control the Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) programme, validate fire safety actions, manage escalations, and ensure compliance with legislative and Hedyn policy.
- Inspections & Projects: Develop a Fire Door database, manage safety inspection programmes, assist in fire strategy development, and research specifications for fire safety projects.
- Contractor Management: Develop briefing documents for procurement activities, manage projects, and establish contractor meetings.
- General: Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, manage the compliance database, and work collaboratively to ensure a coordinated service approach.
To work at all times in a safe and appropriate manner to meet the duties and responsibilities within the Health and Safety policies and procedures of the association. Additional, reasonable duties as required.
