Hednesford Valley High School is seeking anexperienced and highly motivated Site Technician to help maintain a safe,secure and welcoming environment for our students with Special EducationalNeeds and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone whotakes pride in their work and enjoys the challenge of managing a busy schoolsite. You will be responsible for site security, health and safety compliance,planned and reactive maintenance, contractor supervision and ensuring ourbuildings and grounds remain safe, functional and well-presented.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in building maintenance,facilities management or a similar site-based role.
- Has a strong understanding of health and safetyrequirements, including risk assessment and safe working practices.
- Is practical, resourceful and able to solve problemsindependently.
- Takes ownership of tasks and can prioritise workloadseffectively.
- Has excellent organisational skills and attention todetail.
- Communicates positively with staff, contractors,students and visitors.
- Is reliable, trustworthy and committed to safeguardingchildren and young people.
- Remains calm under pressure and responds effectivelyto emergencies.
- Is comfortable working on their own during schoolclosure periods.
