Hedin Automotive BMW MINI has an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Lead to join our busy BMW workshop team. As an approved BMW Dealer, you’ll work across the full BMW range, using the latest diagnostic and service equipment, with ongoing training provided by the BMW UK Training Academy.

YOUR ROLE:

As the Workshop Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence, operational efficiency, and a high-performance culture within the workshop. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will support technicians with complex diagnostics, uphold BMW’s technical standards, and ensure the workshop operates professionally, profitably, and in line with Hedin Automotive values.

Main duties of the role include:

  • Provide advanced technical support to technicians, assisting with complex diagnostic and repair work.
  • Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring productivity, workflow efficiency, and adherence to BMW standards.
  • Conduct quality checks, including RQC inspections and road tests, to maintain exceptional repair standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage workshop systems and equipment, including ISTA updates, tool audits, and general workshop cleanliness and compliance.
  • Act as the main technical link between the workshop and Service Team.
