We have a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Service (Parts Advisor) Apprentice to join our team at Hedin Automotive BMW & MINI. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with one of the world's most prestigious and technologically advanced car manufacturers. There are very few Customer Service (Parts Advisors) Apprenticeships in the motor industry and the BMW programme is regarded as being the leader in delivering the ultimate customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Be working in a busy BMW/MINI Parts Department.
- Your role will be focused on stock processing, inventory management and customer interaction.
- Serve trade and retail customers over the phone and in person.
- Manage stock: ordering, control, and checks.
- Use advanced computer systems for stock management and parts identification.
- Support workshop and sales departments with parts coordination.
- Attend off-site training at BMW Group Academy (Berkshire) for 12-15 months.

- Successful applicants must demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.

- An interest in the automotive industry.
- Honest, professional and a willingness to learn.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants are required to have, or predicted to obtain, GCSE Grade A*-C / 9-4 or Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in the following subjects: English, maths, ICT (or one other subject if candidate did not take ICT).
- To be eligible to work in the UK before you apply and hold a full UK driver’s license (this is due to the nature of the role).
Prospects
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be a qualified Parts Advisor. You will also gain a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Parts Advisor Certification. Following this, there are various opportunities for progression within the Retailer.
Things to consider
Successful applicants must be prepared to travel to the BMW Group Academy in Berkshire to complete their apprenticeship training. Training is completed in one-week blocks approximately once every two months. All training costs are covered by the BMW Retailer (travel, accommodation and food).
The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage guide (ANMW): 21yrs and over is £12.21 ph, 18yrs to 20yrs is £10.00ph, under 18yrs is £7.55ph.
