A highly regarded London-based real estate development and investment group is seeking a hands-on Finance Director to lead the financial management of a sophisticated portfolio of prime real estate assets and major urban redevelopment projects. Working closely with the founders and senior leadership team, the role combines strategic financial leadership with detailed operational delivery within a lean, high-calibre environment. The Finance Director will play a key role in supporting investment decisions, development appraisals and capital structuring across a complex group of development and investment entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead group financial reporting, budgeting, statutory accounts and audit processes
  • Oversee treasury, cashflow forecasting, banking relationships and financial controls
  • Manage tax compliance and planning across development and investment structures, including VAT, CIS and corporation tax
  • Support commercial activity including development appraisals, financial modelling, capital raising and debt finance
  • Maintain finance systems, insurance programmes and relationships with external advisers

Required Profile

  • ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified accountant
  • Strong experience within real estate development or property investment businesses
  • Commercially minded with strong technical finance and Excel-based modelling capability
  • Comfortable operating in a small, entrepreneurial and owner-led environment
  • Discreet and confident managing complex structures and senior stakeholder relationships
