Senior Room Leader/ Floor Manager
We are currently looking for enthusiastic staff at our fabulous, outstanding rated children\’s day nursery and preschool.
We will continuously invest in our staff to ensure they receive ongoing support, training, quarterly supervisions, annual appraisals and offer a career path with genuine long term growth and stability.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a real passion for developing young minds, who as well as bringing their own experiences to the Nursery, are eager to develop their knowledge base with continued learning.
We have a vacancy for a Floor Manager / Senior Room Leader who is keen to progress in their career and step up into a leadership/managerial role. You will be heading up the under 2\’s floor and in charge of overseeing the floor, and joining the nursery management team in the smooth running within the setting.
Working hours: over 4 or 5 days, 36-40hrs per week.
Duties involve:
- Assisting the Nursery Management team in providing day to day high quality childcare.
- Providing a positive learning environment that offers choice, experiences, independence and meets all the children\’s needs.
- Having key person responsibility and carrying out daily and individual planning for the floor.
- Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
- Have a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS)
- Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
- Be qualified at NNEB/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in childcare
- Have good leadership skills.
Salary is negotiable based on hours, experience and qualifications.
