We are seeking a new Room Leader for our Pre-school room. We are looking for individuals either with previous experience leading a room, or who are looking to take that step up and can promote high quality care in a stimulating, happy and rich learning environment which offers wonderful opportunities for our pre-schoolers.

Room leader duties involve:

  • Assisting the Nursery Management in providing day to day high quality childcare.
  • Being responsible for and managing the staff within the room.
  • Providing a positive learning environment that offers choice, experiences, independence and meets all the children's needs.
  • Having key person responsibility and carrying out daily and individual planning.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
  • Leading a small team.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
  • Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
  • Have previous room lead experience or deputy room lead/senior practitioner experience (highly desirable).
  • Be qualified at Level 3 or equivalent in childcare.
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages).
  • Be able to work well in a team.
  • Have good leadership skills.

Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications, and we offer excellent career opportunities for the right candidates.

Hours: 39 hours over 4 days per week (one set day off each week).
