What You'll Do
You'll join hedgehog lab as a Mid-level Full Stack Engineer. Your first project will be building a premium, subscription-based web product for our client, Times Higher Education. You'll work across the stack using TypeScript. You'll build UI features in Next.js and support backend services in Node.js. The core data already exists and is clean. Your focus will be turning that data into a product that feels simple, polished, and trustworthy. You'll implement APIs that serve page-ready payloads. You'll help build background processing to enrich datasets using LLM calls. You'll work on safe handling around that output. You'll contribute to a frontend that is fast, responsive, and mobile-friendly. You'll pay attention to the details that make the product feel premium. You'll write tests, fix bugs, and support release work. You'll work closely with senior engineers who will guide the architecture and approach. You'll collaborate with the client engineering team, but your day-to-day will be focused on delivery and implementation.
What's In It For You
You'll work on a product where quality matters. This isn't internal tooling. The end users are senior university leaders. You'll build real features that ship. You'll learn modern full stack patterns in a team that values clean code and strong delivery habits. You'll gain exposure to AI-assisted delivery in a practical way. Guardrails, testing, and reliability matter here. You'll also get variety. This is the first project, but over time you'll move across different clients and products. If you want a role where you can grow your full stack experience quickly, this is a strong platform to do it.
