You're a strong Senior/Lead level Python engineer who uses agentic tooling seriously in your day to day work.
Not as a shortcut, but as a way to move faster and deliver better.
You don't need someone to define every problem for you, but you're not looking to own the roadmap either.
You want to do great engineering work on something that matters.
If that's you, keep reading.
You'll be embedded into the product team of one of the UK's leading procurement platforms as your first project here.
The platform connects organisations managing construction projects with the suppliers who deliver them.
It's high-traffic and there's serious engineering work to be done at every layer of the stack.
Your focus is the Python and agentic side of the platform.
You'll be building the Python services and AI-native features that sit at the heart of how this product works.
The platform also runs on PHP/Laravel, so you'll need to get under the skin of that codebase to do the Python work properly.
This is hands‑on engineering across a real, live system, not a clean slate.
- What you’ll bring
- Has strong experience at Senior and/or Lead Full Stack level in commercial, production Python environments
- Has used agentic engineering tools to ship real features
- Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on Azure
- Has enough front end range to work with React. js when needed
- Is comfortable working in and around an existing PHP/Laravel codebase
You'll be working on a real platform with real scale, alongside engineers who take the craft seriously.
The work is varied and you'll have the seniority to contribute to how things are done, not just what gets shipped.
Agentic engineering is genuinely central to how this project works, not a buzzword on a job advert.
You'll be using these tools in production every day, which means the experience you build here is current, practical and transferable.
Working here means exposure to multiple clients and contexts over time.
If you want to keep growing as an engineer rather than going deep on one product forever, that variety matters.
