Role: Mid‑Level Flutter Developer
Type: Full‑time, permanent
Location: UK-based, with flexible home, office, or hybrid working options. To be eligible, you’ll need to live within 30 miles of one of our offices. Office locations: Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, London.

What you’ll lead:
- You’ll start by taking ownership of a major client project – often a flagship mobile app build – delivering engineering excellence and smart testing from day one.
- You’ll lead Flutter projects end‑to‑end: defining testing standards, solving complex technical problems, and shaping how we build high‑quality mobile apps.
- As Flutter evolves, you’ll help define its future here – experimenting with new tools, driving team practices, and representing hedgehog lab in the wider Flutter community (including events like Flutter North).
- Beyond that, you’ll rotate across diverse projects – fintech, healthtech and more – where your expertise can unlock delivery impact.
How you’ll work:
- You’ll lead with both technical depth and collaboration – partnering across disciplines to deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Own product and technical direction from concept through launch.
- Design robust testing strategies across unit, widget, integration, and end‑to‑end layers.
- Shape team standards and best‑practice for scalable, maintainable apps.
- Mentor other engineers and foster continuous learning.
- You’ll be hands‑on and outcome‑driven, working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team that values experimentation, evidence and impact.
