We're hiring a Data Architect to shape the data platform for a large, established UK organisation going through a major transformation.

It's a regulated, high-scale environment, and you'll own the target architecture for a move off Oracle onto Snowflake.

What you'll do

  • Design the target data architecture: lakehouse and warehouse patterns, modelling standards, and how data flows across the platform.
  • Own the migration strategy from Oracle to Snowflake, including sequencing, risk, and how legacy and new run side by side.
  • Set modelling conventions and governance the wider data team works to.
  • Work closely with engineering leads and stakeholders to keep the design grounded in what actually ships.

What we're looking for

  • Strong track record architecting data platforms at scale, with Snowflake front and centre.
  • Deep experience with lakehouse and warehouse design and dimensional modelling.
  • Hands-on experience planning and running Oracle to Snowflake migrations.
  • Comfortable in a regulated environment where lineage and governance matter.
  • You design for teams that build with AI-assisted engineering, and you're comfortable using AI tooling in your own work.
  • Bonus points for dbt, AWS, and experience in financial services or asset finance.
