About the Role: Our client is seeking a Principal CAD Technician with leadership experience to manage a CAD team and be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of accurate, high-quality engineering drawings across a range of civil and electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of CAD outputs to the Design Department and across project teams.
- Oversee the production of engineering drawings in compliance with company and industry-specific standards.
- Provide expert CAD input and mentorship to team members, ensuring a high standard of technical quality.
- Manage workload allocation across the team, ensuring project deadlines are consistently met.
- Conduct thorough QA/QC reviews of engineering CAD deliverables, including self-checking of all outputs.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of drafting standards and processes.
What You’ll Need:
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering or Civils environment.
- Strong command of CAD software including: Microstation Connect, SolidEdge, NX, or Open Utilities Substation.
