What you will be doing?

To support the investigation of offences against children and adults, abuse, domestic abuse, child sexual exploitation, rape, safeguarding and other offences against vulnerable persons. To make an assessment and contribute in reaching a decision on child and adult protection cases. To ensure appropriate information is shared in order to safeguard children and adults at risk of harm. To secure and review third party material. To provide appropriate support to all elements of the Safeguarding and Investigation Command as required.

Role Specific Tasks

  • To research, prepare and present reports at Child and Adult Protection Case Conferences. Ensure an independent record is kept of information provided / received and decisions made.
  • To ensure relevant information is disseminated to appropriate professionals within Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police and partner agencies.
  • To review Child Protection Conference minutes and quality assure actions arising from them, taking into account any actions required by partner agencies, and taking appropriate action to rectify any inaccuracies or discrepancies.
