Do you want to make a difference, learn as you earn and get a recognised qualification in the process? Our Apprenticeship Scheme Dyfed Powys Police continues to introduce new apprenticeships across Police staff departments as we look to attract talent from all ages and backgrounds.
Our apprenticeship scheme is open to individuals from the age of 16 who are positive and passionate about a career in public service. Our programme runs for 24 months, during which time our apprentices will gain a vast amount of work experience within areas of our policing environment. Alongside this you will study a level 2 or 3 qualification relevant to the role.
Who are Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police? We are the largest geographical police force in England and Wales, proudly serving the communities of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and Powys. The population we serve may be small in numbers (around 515,000 people) but the dynamic landscape means we must be innovative with our policing approach to cater for our communities’ differing needs, which includes a vibrant tourist economy during the summer months.
Pay And Benefits
- Pay is structured by year and age:
- 21 and over – Year 1 £7.55, Year 2 £12.21
- 18 to 20 – Year 1 N/a, Year 2 £10
- Under 18 – Year 1 N/a, Year 2 £7.55
All new starters will have a buddy/mentor to support you when you join, plus:
