Heckfield Place is a beautifully restored hotel on a 400-acre farm in the county of Hampshire, just outside of London. In Marle and Hearth restaurants, we prepare food and drink that celebrates simplicity, the seasons, and a sense of place. We are currently looking for a Sommelier to join our team.

Position responsibilities:

  • Engage positively and professionally with all guests and visitors.
  • Be part of a passionate and energetic wine team, that is working hard to ensure a dynamic and unique wine list.
  • Learn a comprehensive and considered list which will be updated to reflect our ever changing, ingredient‑led menu.
  • Have a healthy working environment between bar, wine, floor and kitchen.
  • Be up to date on movements within the wine industry.
  • Make sure cellars, storage areas and wine fridges are stocked and clean.
  • Have a great customer service attitude and work closely with the senior members of the team.
  • WSET qualification, Level 2 desired.
  • Have an open schedule that allows you to work evenings and weekends.
