Heckfield is a living place: a Georgian family home lovingly restored to its classic origins and rewoven into 400-acres of Hampshire. Elegantly evolving, resolutely natural, we’re a beautiful piece of English history that redefines the idea of a hotel. We are now looking for a Hotel Porter/Driver to join our friendly Front Office team.
For you to be able to drive our guest cars, our insurance policy requires drivers to be at least 25 years old. You will need a full clean UK licence to apply for this role. Our Front Office Porter/Driver are amongst the first to greet our guests so strong customer service skills are a must.
Position responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
- Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Carrying guests luggage to and from rooms
- Labelling all guest luggage and maintaining luggage room in a clean and tidy manner
- Supporting the front office team with check ins/outs and guest requests
- Use of Hotel vehicles for transporting guests around the estate and collection of guests from local train stations
- Maintenance & regular checks of hotel vehicles and bicycles
- Valet parking of guests vehicles
- To be responsible for placing the correct luggage in the correct room and notifying the manager upon completion
- To be responsible for collecting luggage from the rooms of departing guests and placing it in the correct vehicle or labelling it and keeping it in the luggage room
- Have an open schedule that allows you to work evenings and weekends
