Job Summary

Advising small to medium‑enterprise (SME) clients on their employee benefits programs with a focus on Group Risk and/or Healthcare.

Manage client relationships, policies, and portfolio to meet the employer’s and clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for clients and understand the sector and benefits offered.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to client queries.
  • Build and lead relationships with a portfolio of SME clients, providing technical advice on the policies you are responsible for.
  • Work closely with the SME Operations Team to ensure all renewal, reviews, claims and medical underwriting are completed in a timely manner.
  • Proactively build on existing external relationships with clients, prospects and insurers.
  • Maintain a robust system for managing consultancy tasks, ensuring proactive follow‑up with clients and insurers.
  • Provide all technical advice to clients on the policies you are responsible for, seeking assistance from colleagues where appropriate.
  • Ensure all systems are kept up to date and involve use of technology platforms such as Hub Spot and EPIC.
  • Be involved in both existing business and new business activities.
  • Take ownership of your own personal development and seek coaching or training where appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of group risk policies and/or healthcare (death in service, income protection, critical illness, private medical insurance, dental, cash plan and EAP).
  • At least 3 years advising clients in Group Risk or Healthcare and wider Employee Benefits.
  • Microsoft Office experience and ability to create, write and manipulate template reports.
  • Strong organisational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail skills.
  • Team player, motivated and with a strong desire to learn.
  • Experience in consultancy or administration; experience working in Employee Benefits or with an Insurance Provider is preferred.
  • CII GR1 qualified for risk, IF7 for Healthcare preferred.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in advising clients in Group Risk and/or Healthcare, and broader Employee Benefits including Wellbeing and Pensions.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms such as Hub Spot and EPIC.
  • Other Requirements
  • Ability to adapt best practice to the situation while ensuring compliance with business policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Commitment to personal development, corporate governance and the Group Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to work within a hybrid setup.
